Gospel Centred
The good news of what Christ has done for sinners stands at the centre of everything we believe, teach, and do.
Who We Are
Redemption Hill Church is a confessionally Reformed church in Trivandrum, planted to make disciples of Jesus Christ through the faithful teaching of Scripture.
Redemption Hill Church began in 2015 as a small fellowship meeting in a home: a handful of believers gathered around Scripture, with no building, no name to speak of, and no ambition beyond faithfulness. As we worked verse by verse through Paul’s letter to the Ephesians, the Word itself began to give the young congregation its shape. Elders were recognized, membership was established, and the ordinary means of grace, the Word, the sacraments, and prayer, became the centre of our common life.
In 2024, after nine years as a house church, by God’s grace, we moved out of a home and into a hall, a small but telling sign of a congregation still being built. Kerala has carried a Christian witness for nearly two thousand years, and we do not see ourselves as a novelty within it, but as heirs seeking to build on the legacy our forefathers in the faith have left us. Our aim is to reach Trivandrum with sound doctrine and patient discipleship, holding an unwavering commitment to the inerrant, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, in obedience to Christ’s Great Commission to make disciples of all nations.
Romans 10 · 17
“So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.”
What Shapes Us
The good news of what Christ has done for sinners stands at the centre of everything we believe, teach, and do.
We hold Christ preeminent in all things, our salvation, our worship, and our hope, for in Him alone we have life.
We stand within the historic Reformed tradition, holding to the doctrines of grace recovered at the Reformation.
We preach through books of the Bible, verse by verse, trusting that God builds His Church by the plain proclamation of His Word.
Our worship is ordered by Scripture itself, simple and reverent, centred on the Word read, preached, and sung.
We worship together as families, generations gathered side by side, rather than dividing children from the life of the congregation.
Life Together
Worship, meals, retreats, and ordinary weeks spent in one another’s homes — the shared life of a congregation learning to walk together.
