What is the Gospel ?
The Gospel is good news. God created us, man and woman, in His image that we may glorify Him by enjoying him forever. But sin entered the world through the fall of Adam and now we are, all of us, marred by sin and thus deserving of God's eternal punishment. And yet, in the most undeserving and glorious display of love and mercy, He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to provide for us sinners, the way to Eternal Life. This is the Gospel and it is the power of God for our salvation. Jesus invites everyone everywhere to repent and believe in this good news.
Why Church ?
We are created to thrive in community and not to journey alone. Jesus created the church and authorised it to pronounce the gospel of His salvation, to oversee the discipleship of His children, to raise and affirm gospel teachers and to expose false teachers. the New Testament witness to the ceaseless efforts of Christ and His apostles to build the church, Christ's bride whom He washes with the word to present holy and blameless before the Father. A healthy church is indispensable to the spiritual growth of God's elect. Christ will soon return for His bride.
